The Summer of Bogs and Chop

I’m taking a sabbatical from my astrology readings work to drop in deep with my kids this summer. This is because the camps situation in SF once kids reach school age is absurd. Every camp is so expensive (I am HERE for expensive childcare because I have been a caregiver in so many capacities and we need to pay these most essential workers SO MUCH MORE) but that doesn’t work for our family right now, and it’s a massive planning task which needs to take place in January for the summer. So many more boring details about how this is difficult, and how and why I’m opting out this summer. Last year I tried to do it and it stressed me out.

This year, for many reasons including but not limited to the privilege (re-source-s!!) of our particular family circumstances, I am taking off from one job to do my other job full time. No camps (perhaps camps, but as of now, none). A few trips to see family and camping. But lots of time here, with no particular plans and some intentions.

Oh, and my older kid’s nickname is Chop, he is 7. My younger kid’s nickname is Bogs, she is 3.5

This blog is for sharing what arises to be shared in this experiment. Welcome!
